Hey there paw-rent! I'm Vanessa, the founder of Greener Bark, a female-founded eco-focused pet lifestyle brand that launched in 2023 with a home base in beautiful Downey, CA, USA.

My inspiration for this brand came from my beautiful former Siberian Husky, Cooper, who has been the biggest inspiration on this small business journey. Unfortunately, due to prostate cancer, Cooper passed away in October of 2023, but he left a legacy that is now carried over by my newly adopted red tri-merle Aussie pup, Kodak, who has also played a significant role in shaping the evolving vision of Greener Bark.

Our hero product is our Cornstarch Dog Poop Bags which we first launched with and are still a best seller to this day. Conventional plastic pet waste bags can take centuries to break down, leaving a detrimental mark on the environment. In contrast, Greener Bark is made from bio-based plant materials like cornstarch, PLA, and PBAT, ensuring they naturally decompose within just 3-6 months. It's a small change with a huge impact, especially if you have a pup who poops as much as Kodak!

We believe that being eco-friendly should extend beyond just pet waste solutions. That's why we plan to expand to more eco-friendly pet products in the near future!
